Hedgegoyles [UPDATED]

The question has been often asked: What is a hedgegoyle?

Hedgegoyles are the offspring of miniature gargoyles who have interbred with common ceramic hedgehogs. They are an abomination really and should not exist, but they do. In appearance they are more like their hedgehog ancestors, but in behavior they take after their gargoyle ancestors. They live in offices where the employees practice voodoo upon each other, and where purple Easter peeps dance the dance of needle-pain when the staff leaves the office at night.

Perched on the top of cubicle corners and surveying all avenues of passage, they come alive at night and perform strange ritual dance routines (separate from the purple Easter peeps), and sing karaoke. The karaoke is quite tragic because it has yet to be documented where any hedgegoyle can actually carry a tune.

Enjoying any kind of costume they have been known to disguise themselves as girl-scouts or Hershey’s kisses candies.

Despite their love of dance, hedgegoyles are inherently clumsy creatures and are frequently injured, sometimes gravely. Keen observers note that their numbers seem to be dwindling in recent months. It remains unclear if this is a result solely of losses stemming from dancing or if there is a migration of some sort underway and their bravest are heading to new and more promising lands.

They are not evil, nor are they particularly good, unlike the purple peeps who are decidedly evil.

At this time there is no known photographic evidence of their existence, but there is no reason to believe such evidence couldn’t be gathered by a courageous documentarian. If such evidence does surface I will endeavor to publish it for the sake of posterity.

[UPDATE]

New evidence has been uncovered as follows:

We must obtain photographic evidence of the mythical Hedgegoyle or people will believe we have gone insane…

Of course, if we do provide the evidence that too might just prove our insanity! There may not be a winning option here.
