27/365: seasonal entrance lights

Shot from the car window while waiting for the light. This is the entrance/exit for our development at lunchtime.
I was stunned that this one turned out even close to in focus. At least it’s clear what is going on. I literally just grabbed the camera from the passenger seat next to me, rolled down the window, and quickly stuck the camera out of the window and snapped. The light actually changed while I was doing it and I had to drop the camera in the seat and drive away. You can see the first car making the left at the farthest end of all the trees.
Given the impromptu nature of the shot I decided not to edit at all, so this is straight out of the camera (SOOC). No crop, no levels, nothing.
I was really happy to see the tree behind my car reflected in my side mirror. This was a little gift.

Here I am playing with the white balance settings again. I’m shooting directly up at a light in the park with the evening sky as background.

I have a deck of puzzle cards…75 Mind Bogglers… that Marcella gave me for Christmas last year. Every now and then we’ll pull one out and see if we can exercise our minds a little. This is a recent one that was a little bit humorous.
Can you solve it?
I cropped a bit and added some vignetting just because I could, but there’s not much else to say about this one.

23/365: blue angel fire

I was experimenting. The results were mixed. It’s fairly difficult to get the right depth of field with the point and shoot. I got a few shots with nice bokeh, but nothing else worked. This was the most balanced of my attempts with some mild bokeh and a basically in focus angel.
