Marcella and I re-watched Raiders of the Lost Ark the other night. The new Indy movie is due out soon, and we felt like it would be fun to catch up on at least the first of the old films. It was nearly as much a blast now, as it was when it came out and I saw it in the theater. The opening sequence is still a thrill, and there were numerous places throughout the movie where I almost clapped. Fun…simply fun! I hope the new one can capture even a small measure of what made this one great.

I thought I might have some fun and post the occasional silly photo of me taken with Photo Booth and my computer’s built-in iSight camera.
I hope everyone will enjoy the new Library page that I’ve added along with the “about me” and “contact” and “gallery” pages already there.
The Library page actually already existed for a while now, but it wasn’t so plainly and easily accessible. It’s a fun way for me to share what I am reading, have read or am about to read. And for those books that I write a review about I can either put the review with the book page for that book, or I can link the book page to the review post.
Anyway, I hope you find it interesting, and if you ever think you want to purchase one of the books you see just click the link or the cover image you see on that page and it will take you straight to Amazon where you can order the title.
[UPDATE] I have switched off the library plugin I was using. If you would like to view my reading lists now then please go to goodreads.
I love the smell of lighter-fluid and honeysuckle in the evening. It smells like…May in North Carolina.
I just installed new windshield wipers on the car. It took a few minutes just to decipher the little latching mechanism, but once that was figured out it was only a matter of moments to get them all on.
Marcella has been saying for a while she thought I needed them, and it’s been raining lots and lots here for some time now. Sure enough, the rubber squeegee strip on the rear hatch window wiper broke loose the other day and was just flapping around; not very effective.
Just watch though, now that I’ve replaced them we’ll start having another drought.
I hope everybody understands that I wrote this post solely to use the word squeegee. That’s twice!
