Maybe I could have gotten this posted earlier this afternoon, but after having a bite to eat I was compelled to nap. It was a long morning on the bike.
I left the house about 6:45 AM. I rode to Caraway, and then all the way around Hagan-Stone Park on the way back. All total I rode 74.12 miles, averaged 16 mph, and the top speed I hit was 34.2 mph. According to my cycling computer I climbed over 4000 feet during the course of the ride. And it took me 4 hours and 38 minutes.
I guess I don’t have a whole lot to say about the ride itself. It was fairly uneventful. Although every now and then I imagine I can smell again that dairy farm I passed that smelled so…pungent.
I saw the usual cows and horses and a burro.
